Schrodinger's Greeting

I haven't thought about a name for this character yet. I'll ponder it and come back to it at the end of this post.

I have to say first that I quite like the character's face - especially her expression - in this drawing. It reminds me a tiny bit of Herge's style in the Tintin comics. Just the face. Just the tiniest bit.

For the rest of it, I find myself bemused by the character's expression and body language. A more awkward-masquerading-as-casual pose couldn't exist. Is it all due to my lack of drawing skills/laziness? Of course it is! But let's not keep harping on about that and just move on, shall we? And work with what we've got instead?

What, for example, is she hiding in her left hand? A phone? Some knitting? A water pistol? A machete?... It could be anything with that smirking little grin - good or bad. A Schrodinger's Greeting, if you will - right now, it's good and bad.

On another note, I have to say (with immodest pride) that I think the sleeveless mohair jumper the character is wearing is so ugly, it's fantastic!

On another other note, I have no idea what the dolphin in the photo is hoping to achieve by tiptoeing so gingerly up what look like frozen chards of ice. (Maybe it's trying to get out of range of whatever's in her left hand...)

But I have to say, that I like the wrought-iron decoration around the painting frame. Not sure how I got them so even; but it's not bad for me. Not bad at all.

And as for her name - I think I'll go with ... Mackenzie Schrodinger.

Yeah, I think I could work with that.
