I've had this pendant since I was a kid. A gift from my father, I was told it was a Roman calendar and
that's what it's been to me ever since.
It is clearly a calendar; the letters of the months of the year are in the row second from the bottom. The bottom row has (I think) the months of the year represented in symbols that I don't recognise (not - it should be pointed out mostly in my defence - that I've ever actually tried to find out).
I've got no idea how the calendar is actually meant to work. Again, I will say (again, mostly in my defence) that I've never actually tried to find out.
But it is a lovely pendant - even though many people first mistake it for a bullet for some odd reason. Rather pe(n)dantic of them, I think! (sorry, sorry - I can never resist these!!)
It's nice to have something from my childhood that I wear more now than I did then.
